Welcome! Welcome to my humble shrine to the anime series Rurouni Kenshin, which is definately one of the greatest animes ever! My name is Kagero and I am the creator/designer of this website. I hope you enjoy your stay and will come back in the future.
Layout Info:
Updates 8-30-08: Tiny update. Just applied and received a couple of Awards and I updated the affiliation section a little bit. I pretty much scrapped the idea I had for a new layout for this site... it was starting to look too much like the current layout. I have a totally new idea but I have yet to start making it. I've also been a little sidetracked by being back in school and other little side projects. Better updates are in the future though!8-30-08: It is 4:30 AM in the morning... I'm still very much on Hawaii time. But I'm happy because tonight brings a pretty big update. First, I added Usui, Anji, Hoji, and Chou's profiles to the Characters section. Considering that this site has been around for sooo long (around 6 years, I counted O_Ox) it's kind of embarrassing that there isn't more information up already so I'm aiming to correct that. And again, there has been another fabulous submission to the Fanart section so be sure to check that out; the art is really amazing. It always makes me feel happy when people want to submit things. It means that this site is... well, worth submitting to I guess. I have to stop now because I have no brain power left, so until the next time! 8-26-08: I just got back from my yearly trip to Hawaii (all of my extended family lives there) and it's taking all of my brain power just to type. But anyways, while I was there someone sent in some wonderful Fanart and cosplay submissions which I have posted in the Cosplay and Fanart sections. I also have some info that I wrote up on the plane ride back (10 hrs) which I will hopefully have up soon. I have started work on the next layout for this site. Right now it' still not certain what direction it will ultimately take, but my goal is to have it up in the next few weeks before I go back to college for my SENIOR YEAR!!! 7-29-08: Wow... so it's been almost a year. I'm sure many people think that I've fallen off the face of the planet, but I have not! This past year has been really overwhelming and crazy - that's all I can really say. I would like to take a moment to say that although I haven't been able to respond to peoples' emails I'm very thankful for each person who's taken the time to send me a message about this site and I've kept all of them. I was going back through my email log and it really inspired me to stop procrastinating and update. So now for the actual updates: several new fanarts posted in the Fanart section. Also (and I'm very excited about this one) there are several new submitted photos of RK cosplayers on the Cosplay page. They're very good so be sure to check them out. Hopefully I'll be able to design a new layout soon... 8-06-07: So I guess I've been talked out of changing the name of this website, I would lose too much traffic. I still have so much stuff to do for this site that it's overwhelming. However, I did accomplish one of the goals that I set for myself. I've just set up the new RK Cosplay section where you can see some of the pictures I took at Otakon this year. Right now it's still small, but it will grow in the future!. 6-16-07: I know that I said this two updates ago... but THIS is the longest I've ever gone without updating this website. I'm now on summer break from college and this past term was by far one of the most difficult for me emotionally, so that's why I haven't been working on the site... I'm so glad it's summer. But anyways we have a nice well-rounded update today... this morning... it's actually 4:00 AM right now. To start off we have new fanart by several different artists, one of which I'm featuring in the "Featured" section. There is one new wallpaper, although it's actually been there for a little while now but I neglected to mention that I had posted it. And last but not least I added a new episode summary to the Tsuioko Hen summary section. I still have a lot of work to do and emails to answer and a big announcement to make, but it'll have to wait until tomorrow aka later today... I need to sleep. THIS SITE LIVES!!!
Update: So I'm back and rested. This announcement has been something that I've been musing over for some time now. I've been thinking about changing the name of this website. I feel like "Rurouni Kenshin Romantation" is a bit long and... weird, so it would be nice to have a name that wasn't so hard for people to remember. I don't know what I want to rename it or even if I will. I'm kinda worried about how the name and domain change would effect site traffic. Oh, something I'm very proud of: last I checked this site was sittin pretty at no. 5 on Google if you search for Rurouni Kenshin (When I saw I was like O_O Thank you everyone for visiting!!!). But again, I don't know if I'll change the name unless I can think of a name that I truly think is better. If anyone has any suggestions for a good name then please drop me a line be it by
